| My self-synopsis from the talkwhatever.com forums (because I doubt I'll write a better one) - I am: a Norwich University College of the Arts Creative Writing B.A graduate (an unfortunately now defunct course); an aspiring novelist, screen writer, graphic novelist, illustrator and QI panelist; and meantime scraper-byer. I live with my fiancee in a small but charming flat in the small but charming city of Norwich. I smoke, drink and essentially do everything to excess, but as the late Bill Hicks said: "We pay for life with death, so everything in between should be free." I'm an optimistic cynic, a gregarious misanthrope, a faithful nihilist, a renunciant hedonist and all-round likable tit, as described by friends and family alike. The best piece of advice given to me recently was from my girlfriend, who said "be yourself, but not too much." My imagination has been described as akin to the Tardis, and my patience as akin to a vole's shoe box. Nonsense is my second oxygen. And finally, as pretentious as I might occasionally seem, I'm simply a well-meaning bloke who loves words. I also love people, which is why I'm here. Cheerio! |
